The New Timey Radio Hour - Episode 3

Welcome to a new episode of The New Timey Radio Hour, from NewTimey.org.

This week we feature the first scene of the play Unfinished Basement by Ellen Struve. It features the voice talents of the following actors, in order of appearance.

Chris Fowler
Amy Schweid
Beth Thompson reading Stage Directions

The guitar parts were composed and played by Chris Fowler and Amy Schweid.

Unfinished Basement is a play set in Omaha, featuring original songs by the playwright, inspired by Omaha's vivid independent music scene. The portion recorded here represents a work-in-progress, even the title itself may yet change, but we think it's still a phenomenal piece that we just had to share.

This opening portion of a new play by Omaha playwright Ellen Struve was performed as part of an evening of short pieces presented by the Omaha Playwrights Group. The play does include some adult language and themes, so listener discretion is advised. If you have feedback on the show, or if you represent a theater who would like to get in touch with the playwright to pursue production, e-mail us at newtimey@gmail.com, and we'll pass it along.
