The Encyclopedia Show is a concept originated by Robbie Q. Telfer and Shanny Jean Maney in Chicago, Illinois. It is a live monthly spoken word and poetry event, each performance consisting of an encyclopedia topic split into several sub-topics, each tackled by a different artist or group of artists from the city. The performances of each sub-topic are fact-checked by a representative from The Institute for Human Knowledge and Hygiene.
The Omaha performances are organized and hosted by Andrew Ek and Katie F-S. The Omaha fact checker is Shannon Jackson. Episodes are recorded, edited, produced, and hosted by Greg Harries.
