Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 10:51PM Welcome to another episode of The Encyclopedia Show Omaha Podcast. This week we feature performances from All Young Girls Are Machine Guns and Natalie Wilkinson. The sub-topic of the first piece is Roy G. Biv, and it was submitted to Volume 3: The Visual Spectrum in May. The second piece's sub-topic is Russian Circus Bears, submitted to Volume 1: Bears. The live performance hosts are Katie F-S and Andrew Ek. The live performance fact-checker and podcast host, as always, is Shannon Jaxies.
The Encyclopedia Show is a concept originated by Robbie Q. Telfer and Shanny Jean Maney in Chicago, Illinois. It is a live monthly spoken word and poetry event, each performance consisting of an encyclopedia topic split into several sub-topics, each tackled by a different artist or group of artists from the city. The performances of each sub-topic are fact-checked by a representative from The Institute for Human Knowledge and Hygiene.
The Omaha performances are organized and hosted by Andrew Ek and Katie F-S. The Omaha fact checker is Shannon Jaxies. Episodes are recorded and produced by Greg Jaxies.
